press release

The Crossley Gallery and Ringling College of Art & Design is pleased to host students from New College of Florida with the exhibition 'Yearn' on the 2nd of December, 2008 from 6-10pm. Yearn is a collaborative show that combines 2-D, 3-D, installation and performance in order to explore bridges, gaps, abject, collection, space, bodies, and others. New College art collective, RTRI and 3rd year and 4th year art majors worked together to create the show. This is the first in a series of three shows which hope to create dialogue between the voices of Ringing and New College artwork. Yearn invites the viewer to discover new ways of thinking about art and oneself through interactive work. We encourage discussion, exploration, and response with our pieces and hope that Yearn incites and invokes the audience to think and create.
